The latest Flash Player 17 beta builds are now available. This release brings the beta channel in line with our official release that we will make available tomorrow. Beta builds can be downloaded from labs.adobe.com.
New Features for Flash Player 17:
- Control Panel Improvements
The system control panel will now display the currently installed version of the ActiveX, NPAPI, and PPAPI plugins. We've also clarified how Chrome and Chromium (PPAPI) users can edit their Flash Player settings.
- Installer Improvements - Mac
The Mac installer will no longer request users close the Chrome browser during installation. In future versions we'll work to further improve the user experience of our installers.
Fixed Issues
- Standalone PPAPI Flash Player for Mac - The download button on localized versions of the background update dialog now works as expected (3951736)
- Multiple Stability and Security Fixes
Known Issues
- Flash in 16:9 video resolution shows green strip (noise) on right of video window.(3944393)
- No text is displayed in the 2nd text field when Fix button is clicked in http://sleepydesign.com/services/typetool/ .(3935753)
- Starling cannot upload texture from BitmapData in Firefox when running in release Flash Player.(3941992)
